What pushes and pulls me in doing this?

The first time I felt more in control of my life after using a meditative-type technique is when my life began to change; I was in the middle of the jungle on the island of Borneo in Indonesia working for a French Global company that provided computer analysis services to the oil companies. One of the tools failed and I used my intuition to get an answer much quicker than my logical approach would have taken. Time is money especially on remote oil rigs that cost millions a day to operate... and it saved money and began to earn me a good reputation in management. Then I had my spiritual awakening on the island of Bali... after that the Glasgow, Scotland national art museum had this mesmorizing painting but...

One day I was taking the island bus from the airport to a point on the northern end of Bali and I noticed two things that made me start to think differently about the way I looked at the world. Every bridge and every home had a brick/mortar alter that was maybe three or four foot tall with some kind of opening at the top where they put blessings of grains and flowers mixed in, I think, water. Everyone would get a blessing where they would rub a similar mixture on your third eye for a better day; it cost fractions of a penny. Eventually I noticed how the way they went about their daily lives contained some constant awareness of their God or Spirit. It was such a stark contrast to the hypocritical practice I knew of in southeast Texas where people were nice on Sundays and the rest of the time they quite often were not nice. These people lived their beliefs for most of their days. Hhmmm

To back up even further for the short version, I had gone to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to take the four day Silva Mind Control class which altered the way I viewed the world and myself in it. The most noticeable changes for me were in my ability to continuously re-energize myself by focusing my thought so that I could, at times, work for 3 days 24 hours each day. And I no longer needed base camp support so that I was placed on the furthest into the wilderness - locations. Management noticed and my path up - sped up.

Later on I had quit them and moved back to Houston where I “coincidentally” came across this very insightful man, Frank Natale who had The Frank Natale Institute where he did his workshops that simply altered peoples’ lives, empowering them like none other. Those who did his work found an ever deepening experience of life. I was there for years almost every weekend class volunteering, observing, learning. Then I worked with his other teacher and got to lead pieces of the class over time.

Then I had moved to Denver where my friends introduced me to Religious Science, a much more expansive way of viewing and dealing with life. The philosophy is called Science of Mind as it is very practical, mostly logical and extremely empowering way of doing life. Over the years I did their multi-year college level education to become a licensed practitioner where I can work with people as their Spiritual Counselor or Coach, as it were. The greatest benefit of this methodology is that it goes straight to First Cause, your relationship with your Divine Authority. We will look at the issue or problem from the spiritual perspective and do practices to change it there, at the source.
